@mchitt329:  I’ve always been under the impression that anything that lightens hair is permanent, so if you’re actually doing highlights, you may find they’re not as temporary as you hope, and still be dealing with growing out roots.

If you lighten your hair it’s permanent and has to grow out or be covered with darker color. Try some clip in extensions that are a few shades lighter instead.

I would do clip in exrensions instead. I’ve never heard of temporary highlights.

Temporary just means it fades but your color will be lightened and not back to your original color. I agree with PP just get extensions if you are worried about your natural color.
