My FI and I were talking about the weight loss issue last night and he mentioned the EA Sports Active for the Wii. I just read some reviews on it and it sounds pretty solid but I wondered if anyone has tried it? I think I’m going to buy it anyway and give it a shot (I’ll try anything that’ll make working out enjoyable) I’ll let everyone know how it goes. But if anyone has tried it let me know what you thought!

I saw that on a commercialt the other night. If you get it, let me know what you think. I just started Jillian’s 30 day shred – she kicked my butt – and I normally train with a trainier once a week.

I know a lot of people that use the WII fit and they say that it kicks their butts. One of my freinds is someone who is fairly active and works out a lot, he got it and after one workout he called me from my apt downstairs to come up and get him food and drink bc he was "too sore to move" and his gf was at work…lol..

Ok, so I just got the EA Sports active and did my first workout and all I can say is WOW! It totally kicked my butt! you start out creating a profile and your own little image person, include weight, height, all that jazz. Then you take like a fitness and nutrition quiz which will help out in the long run of keeping track of what you eat and so on. Then I decided to do a 30 day challenge, everyday the activities will alternate so you don’t focus too much on one area. Some of my activies for today were kickboxing, running, walking, lunges and bicep curls, just to name a few. The screen has a timer to let you know how long you’re working out, a bar to let you know how far along in the workout you are (I really liked that, when I saw I was half way through I was like I can do this and also projects how many calories I’m burning while I’m working out. Based on this one day thing, I would recommend anyone trying to get in shape that has a Wii to try this out. Of course it’s only been one day, it might change, but if it alternates and keeps it interesting and fun I’ll probably stick with it.
I’ll say this, I have Wii Fit and I liked it and still do but in a way this is like a personal trainer in your home and much different from the Fit workout. I think I like this fomat better because the custom built routine and alternation in activies will encourage me to stick with it for the duration of the 30 days.
If anyone else decides to try this out let me know, we can be Wii workout buddies!!!

Day Two: Hurt to get out of bed, but I did it and I pushed myself to workout…I tell you what, this EA Sports Active thing has kicked my butt for only two days of use. I just got done with workout #2 and I’m pouring off sweat and ready for a nap! Hope I can keep with it!
