Acai berry tastes good--but it is just the new "superfood"... I don't think there's any one food that is miraculous. Your overall diet is what matters most. I used to go for actual colon cleansings with a colon-hydrotherapist. Not the most pleasant experience, but they did tell me that most of the "natural" herbal laxatives only irritate your system. Diet is really what counts!
The things I do to cleanse by body that work best are to follow proper food combining. Certain foods are not meant to be eaten with others because they don't digest properly and could clog your system or result in lower nutritional absorbency. It is not exactly scientific--but it is becoming more mainstream and I think when you learn more about it you see that a lot of things about it do make sense!
I think smoothie cleanses are also great! If you have a good blender you can do fruit and green smoothies... all the fruits/veggies and the actual fiber really do amazing things for your system.
I take acai, but not for weightloss. It really matters what you eat. I follow the flat belly cookbook, which is just good fats and the right food combinations for your GI tract. I LOVE it.

My quest to lose weight before August (and even sooner for my dress alterations) continues and I just wanted to know:
These claims about Acai Berry and colon cleansers. Has anyone tried them, do they work, if so which ones?
Thanks! :)
