I want to make these (and use them to hold popcorn) sort of like these by (I think) Pengy - correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Has anyone made/used these? How did you secure them... double sided tape? Glue dots? Glue sticks? How well did they hold up?

    Any advice is very appreciated!!!

I think they're cute!! I really don't have any ideas- I guess you could try one of each out & make some popcorn to put in it...see what works best?

That's a good idea! A test run with microwave popcorn. Thanks!

Hi - I used this guide to make DIY flower cones, I am sure they can be scaled down to hold popcorn.  She has easy-to-follow instructions.  http://lillyella.blogspot.com/2009/05/may-day-flower-cones.html

I used Scotch brand Quick-Dry Adhesive b/c it is acid free (which I think would be good for popcorn/microwaving) and dries clear so even if it gets a little messy, there won't be any glue showing.  Or you could line the cones with some parchment paper after you make them so the popcorn won't technically be touching any type of glue used!  Good luck!!

I have made paper cones to serve popcorn (but not for a wedding), and  I just used regular white printer paper and secured the cones with scotch tape.  They worked perfectly well when guests scooped popcorn into these cones and ate from them.

I've done double-sided scotch tape. I was paranoid about glue seeping through the paper and then getting on the foods. :p

Oh, and when I was little I made them with staples or toothpaste. I wouldn't recommend either.
