We had a lot of black damask in some of our linens, and I thought it was a bit much (we had talked to the venue about doing damask as an accent, and our buffet tables ended up with giant damask toppers). If you like it, use it! It's your wedding. ;) But I think even the black was too distracting for me. I'm glad it was only in our buffet area. We used damask napkins, but they were folded into a solid napkin and only peaking out. I think damask can be overdone, and I always think of how things will photograph. :)
my thoughts are the same. I wanted to use it only as an overlay for the sweetheart table and have two 8' tables on the sides with white satin and pink sash

I was think of using Damask fushia color for napkins for all guests and runners for the wedding party table! Has anyone used colored Damask?
