I bought a bridesmaid dress on there for a friends wedding. It arrived in perfect condition, way before they said it would, and was an original (not a knock-off). It will come in a small box and will need to be steamed but that is true of most dresses.
All the girls for my wedding also purchased their bridesmaid dresses there. I definetely recommend them!
I used them for my bridesmaids dresses. They arrived in perfect shape and were the real deal. I ordered the Alfred Sung D447 dress, and was quoted anywhere between 179-210 before tax from bridal stores in the area. They were 120 each including tax and $25 shipping split between the four bridesmaids. However, be aware that if you're in Canada and your dress isn't made in a country included in NAFTA customs will be more than just bringing something across the border. I think Alfred Sung is made in China, so there was $135 customs added to my order, which is almost 30%.
Sometimes if you ship to a shipping/receiving company in the states, and then drive it through the border yourself, the customs agent will just let you go, but be prepared for steep customs fees.
I used Netbride too to get my bridesmaid dress. The customer service was excellent. Their price was actually better than the stores. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them!
Maybe I'm a little late in responding, but I ordered a Watters dress through Netbride and it was in good condition, well-packed, and before the date they originally gave me. It was a great experience. Of course it's a little nerve-wracking because you're ordering your WEDDING DRESS online, but I'm so glad I did. Mine was $2100 CAD in a local salon, and $900 USD from Netbride.
If you go to the forum on the Canadian site 'Weddingbells' you can find a whole giant thread on Canadian girls who have used Netbride, and you can get a better idea of how much duties and shipping will be. But since you live in Vancouver, if you use SapphireSun's suggestions you'd probably save a few hundred dollars!
Thanks for your responses, Bees! I am going to go ahead and order from Netbride. Yay for saving money!
@bug-in-a-rug - did you pay customs fees to have your dress shipped to Calgary?
@09.07.11: Yes, I paid custom fees. I'm guessing the dresses are made in China...
Hey, just curious, how did this go for you?? Have you gotten the dress yet? Does it look like an original? I am tempted to try it as well but am VERY VERY VERY scared!!!
@AdAMSgirls2214 _ I haven't ordered the dress yet. I've been out of town for work for the past 6 weeks and I want to try the dress on one more time before ordering from Netbride. If I do end up ordering from them, I'll let you know how it goes.
@bug-in-a-rug - you think the dresses are made in China?? I thought they were originals?
I know people who have ordered from Netbride. The customs fees for their BM dresses were approximately $30 per dress. Most designer's factories are in China which is why duty is calculated on the dresses. Another site to check out is Perfect Bridal - I ordered my Alfred Angelo BM dresses from them based on a friend's recommendation. She ordered both BM dresses and a wedding gown from them with positive experiences.
I used Netbride and it was great! They arrived a month earlier than they said they would. And all the packaging and labels were authentic Watters brand. I would definitely recommend them.
@09.07.11: Um, yeah, like almost everything else, they're made in China. It doesn't mean they're not real.
@bug-in-a-rug - Thanks. I am aware that China is a major exporter of goods and materials. From your last post I thought you were suggesting that the reason they are cheaper through Netbride versus purchasing from a bridal salon is because they are made in China. Therefore, I assumed you were implying they are knock-offs.
Can anyone else add to this? Thinking about going with netbride for bm dresses.
Just wanted to add I bought my bridesmaid dresses from Netbride and they all arrived perfect! Loved there customer serice and obviously price.

Hi Bees!
I am considering ordering my Watters Torreon dress from Netbride.com and I am wondering if any of you ladies have ordered your dress from here and if so, what was your experience? Was your dress exactly what you ordered? Did it arrive on time and in perfect condition?
I really want to order my dress from here because there is only one Watters retailer here in Vancouver and they have marked this dress up to $4000! EEEKKK!! Netbride quoted me $2320 USD for the exact same dress. This makes me happy, however it also makes me nervous. How can they charge so much less for the same dress?
Please share your Netbride experience! Thanks Bees :-)
