I’m making them, but still figuring it out.  We can’t toss anything or bubbles due to slipping risk, daylight plus a lot of younger kids so sparklers are out.

Current idea is cutting a slot on top, drop ribbon in, glue something on top. Probably a flat backed gem for sparkly factor.  Not adding bells, with 300 some odd guests, bells would get annoying in seconds.

We might!

I love bubbles and it’ll be a very kid-friendly wedding, so maybe a combo of bubbles for the kids & ribbon wands? I love the look of the ribbon wands though.

We are probably using ribbons to decorate the ceiling of the the reception hall (just a plain room) so I think that the ribbon wands would fit prefectly with the decor.

If you like the look of sparklers, try tinsel wands or glow sticks for a similar look.  I particularly like the tinsel wands.  They are almost indistinguishable from sparklers in photos.  Just buy some gold or silver tinsel (or both) and hot glue it to wooden dowels.

I had a client use ribbon wands for their wedding. Made for super cute photos. I have one posted on my website if you want to look. I PMed you the link as I don’t want to violate the self-promotion rules!
