Darling Husband and I watched the first installment last night on the dvr, and I really enjoyed it. I am curious to see how they depict some of the other events. We are catching up on episode 2 tonight .
Anyone else watch it and have any thoughts or favorite parts? I saw where it had a record number of viewers, so someone around here is bound to have watched it!

@Mrs_Amanda: Fiance and I are watching! We both really enjoy it, although we too still have Part 2 waiting on the DVR to watch before the new one this weekend. Moses is one of my favorite stories, and I think they’re doing a really great job with it so far 🙂

@Mrs_Amanda: My Fiance and I have been watching it, it is an interesting interpretation of the old testament so far but I have enjoyed watching it. I will admit that I don’t read the Bible as much as I should have but watching this series has made me want to pick it up again and start reading again.

It’s waiting on my PVR right now…just need to find time!

I caught the moses episode when I was staying at my moms house (FI and I have netflix & Hulu instead of cable). IT WAS AWESOME!
I can’t wait for them to put it on Netflix.
Can anyone tell me if it is on Hulu yet??

I’m not sure about Hulu, but you may be able to see it On Demand if you have comcast.
I got ( surprisingly) kind of emotional at the Abaham and Isaac part; I am also glad the angels were shown as warriors, and not fairies lol.

We are also watching it and really enjoying it. Fiance has watched them twice now. I grew up in a church and he didn’is and he has a heard time understanding the Bible so I think he is enjoying actually learning the stories.

@Chrissy26: this is kind of us too, Darling Husband is definitely interested in anything related to this because he did not grow up in church, which I find refreshing!

Anyone catch last nights episode ( installment 3)? Thoughts? This was Jesus’ introduction into the series.

If I had cable I would be!

I watched the first 15 minutes of it but it seemed strange to me…like it either moved too fast or there wasn’t enough narration. So I’m not sure if it gets better…? I have an MA in Hebrew Bible/early Christianity so maybe I’m biased because I’m not entirely sure how they can do “The Bible” in only 10 hours!! That seems, um, WAY TOO SHORT of a time for me!

I thought it was fine, but it seems they took some creative licenses in interpreting stories (Shadrach, Meschach & Abednego comes to mind.)
