Wow! That’s more then I’m spending on my entire wedding! But if you & your family have the money, then I say do what will make you happy.

Holy crap! That’s a lot of money… but if your budget has the money available then go for it! Flowers are beautiful.

I went over but only by about $100. Our flower budget was very modest.

If you think the price is too high, you might want to consider looking into other florists. It’s always a good idea to have a lot of different options for vendors in my opinion.

I personally had a low budget wedding (under $10,000 altogether) and we initially budgeted out around $800 or so for flowers. We ended up going under budget because we decided to DIY most of our flowers. I believe it only cost us around $300 or so. Anyway, even in your situation, OP, I think you might have better luck asking around with different florists. You may have just found one that is extremely expensive. It never hurts to shop around!

@Goyardgyrl:  You have pretty extravagant inspiration pictures. I would ask the florist what could be done to reduce the cost. Try using in season flowers and look into smaller arrangements.

If those are you inspiration pictures I’m not that surprised to be honest.

I told myself I was getting silk flowers and spending no more than $100….I now find myself with a signed contract and owing a $250 deposit by FEbruary for a $600 order. Funny *roll eyes*

But with those photos? $19k sounds about right. I just don’t get spending THAT much on something that’s going to die….

That last pictures looks like all white orchids…those are crazy expensive flowers, no matter what season it is.  Check out BrooklynWife’s recaps.  She had tall white centerpieces with small arrangements in between, similiar to your photos, in Philly and spent way less.  I believe she had more cost effective flowers, like hydrangeas, in the taller arrangements and the pricier flowers, like peonies, in the small votives.

I had inspiration pictures like yours and when I brought them to the florists it was over $5000 just for centerpieces alone so we worked a few different options and instead of using the flowers shown they will be incorporating lots of filler flowers that are cheaper but will give it the same look and cost a quarter of the price! My flowers for everything are now costing about 2200 for everything instead of the original 10k quoted!
