Hey everyone, I am late, very late….AF has not shown up and I’m over a week and a half late….but I took two test and they’re both negative! (Which is fine because I’m not currently TTC) but I’m wondering, where is it? Has it happened to you before and what was the end result? I have a doctors appointment tomorrow but am really freaked out that something may be wrong with me and just need to vent and see what happened to others who have had this happen.
To give you some background (if interested) I have had a lot of pregnancy symptoms, some weird symptoms but a lot that could be the same as AF coming. (cramps, breast tenderness, headaches,my temp. went up and my head felt hot for about 1-2 days and I’m very senstive to smells (this has never happened to me before) I had these symptoms for about a week and was convinced AF was coming and didn’tl….I don’t have any of these symptoms anymore besides a little tenderness and have felt completely normal for 3-4 days now.
What could this be?? Please any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have very regular periods and have been late a few times. I was never pregnant (until now) and my period always ended up starting. I never knew why I had been late, but I hear that so many things can influence our cycle. Like stress, weight gain or loss, etc… It’s amazing how many things can cause us to be late.
It’s possible that you are just late for “no reason”.
Your symptoms sound like you could be pregnant but since you are over a week and a half late, I’m surprised that you are not getting even a very faint positive if you are pregnant. It does take a little time for people to show up as pregnant so it may just be taking your body a little time to produce enough hormones to show up on the test…..or maybe you were getting sick and for some reason this has caused you to be late.
The great mystery of the period! 🙂
I’m sure you will get an answer when you go to the dr.

Hmm… the type of pregnancy test you’re using could be part of it too. Some are more sensitive than others (First Response Early Response is supposed to be pretty good.) That said, I’d just wait to see what the doctor thinks. I imagine you’ll be taking a pregnancy test there that will be pretty darn sensitive.
Anyway, try not to stres too much. If you already have plans to see the doctor, you’ll find out soon enough one way or another and no amount of worrying will change anything right now.
