I was talking to my fiance tonight about our reception venue possibilites. I was shocked when I hear him typing away on the keyboard and he announces, I'm making a spread sheet. "What!?!?!", I exclaim. "I'm making a spread sheet that will show case each venue and what they have to offer us for their price" Now in the 4yrs we've been together I've never seen Mr JB do a spreadsheet or even mention the option of doing that. I'm thinking about the pod people "Who took my fiance? What did you do with him and who is this spreadsheeting man you've put in his place?" I love Mr. JB but the first time we were planning our wedding (we postoped 4months before) he wasn't into this very much and let me handle most of it. Now he's calling places, making suggestions, asking about pictures I've collected (which I started completely all over), and he's finding the song I've requested to walk down the aisle to among other things. He reminds me everyday that he's my rock and the person that I can't spend my life without, while managing to shock me on occasion too.

Omg, awesomeoness!! I too would be genuinely confused/terrified if FI started doing any of that.  The boy can't even place a call to order a pizza by himself.

I did a post about it but he shocked me when he asked if he could see/help pick out my second dress! now this guy is a manly man who loves cars and watching sports...I though it was a trick question or something haha

Wow, that's awesome! I think the thing that surprised me the most is that about 2 months after he proposed, and I started planning (we're having a long engagement, 2 years), I was telling him about the colors I wanted and a few other things, and he stopped the car. He looked at me and was like, I know you probably didn't expect this, but I'd really love to help with planning the wedding. Allllsoooo...can we have blue as a wedding color?

It was such a shock, because I thought he felt apathetic about everything but booze and food :P
