- Wedding: February 2010
My husband called his younger sister to simply say hello. They don’t talk often, she recently got married (had a destination wedding the week after Christmas and many of us relatives couldn’t afford/couldn’t take time off work after the holidays to go) and so he decided to be civil.
“Oh, .. ITS YOU.” (With a snark tone as if to say, “Whaddaya know?”)
“How are you?”
“I’m on my BREAK in-between classes.” *CLICK*.
It was so nasty that my husband tells me that next time he feels like calling my sister – he’ll call my lovely brother instead.
I was livid. Within a day, she heard through the grapefine that my husband had been hurt by her behavior (I don’t know whether she was told she was out of line or not), and she posted a very insincere one word apology on facebook, followed by a list of excuses, ending with a demand. “Call me back.”
This girl has a history of self-centered use of language. When she was in college, her frequent plea was “When are you gonna come VISIT MEEEEE?” – never, “I really want to see YOU. When can I come?” It’s all about HER.
I wanted to post on FB – “Why would he call you back when you were such a little [email protected]#T in the first place?” but I was asked not to, because I would just start trouble and both her and her mother (identical people) would be on his case. He’s always somehow the bad guy, which is why I doubt that she got a reprimand at all.
I always thought the girl would mature as time went on, but I’m finding that she’s actually becoming WORSE. She has plenty of friends who are very loyal to her, which surprises me because she is VERY two-faced and easily drops those that cross her at the drop of a hat.
Isn’t it interesting that horrible people often are the best at hiding their true personality from others? OH SHE’S AN ANGEL…….
Anyways, I hate being asked to not make trouble. We live thousands of miles away, but even just the phone calls he would get from his mother and sister (they always gang up on him) would be too much. I just hate that she gets away with this shit.
