Yeah...i don't think there's much you can do about it now; unless your ladies are easy going and won't mind returning or changing their choices. Saying something now is kind of inviting some heartache.
Try sending them some pictures of dresses you like, so they have an idea of what style you are looking for. :)
I did send them pictures of dresses and websites but they still found one's I think are ugly. Oh well I'd rather them be happy than make a deal out of it. Still feel like complaining a bit though, lol.
Yeah, there's really nothing you can do about it now, since you did tell them they could pick their own dresses.
I let my BMs pick their dresses out of a selection from DB. They all picked dresses that I never ever would have picked. It makes me glad I let them pick their own because obviously they'll be comfortable in their choices!
eh, have you seen pix of them IN the dresses? my friend sends me pictures of dresses that she likes (non wedding related) that in the picture i'm not fond of, but on her look good. Your ladies probably rock the dresses they picked..
Happy BMs mean happy bride - if they wear clothes you don't like, the peace you will have from not saying anything will overrule the thoughts of having to confront each lady to get them to buy a second dress.
I don't really care for my bridesmaid's choices of dresses either but I know its what makes them happy and I am sure the dresses will look fantastic on them! It is hard to see another person's vison sometimes and we all have our own ideas so don't worry about it! Nobody will be looking at them anyways!
I wanted to go the choose your own route...but early in wedding planning I recognized that I am a bit of a control freak, and some of my friends have very different styles than the look I am going for...so I totally pulled rank and picked a dress...a couple of the girls weren't impressed...oh well! I think they look fabulous! :D

I've been regretting chosing all matching BM dresses, and my friend keeps I'm better off, that I dodged the very bullet you're complaining about now. Though, in my case, a good half of my girsl would have chosen pasties to cover their nipples and very little else if left to their own devices which isn't really want I want my gramma to be stuck looking at. Take solace in the fact that at least your friends' choices aren't obscene!!

Ok I let my BM's pick their dresses from anywhere just gave them the color to use. Well so far I hate all their picks. Like not beach wear, ugly etc. Oh well I guess I let myself be set up for this when I gave them free rein, lol. I swear the pictures going to come out horrible.
