Hi,

I don’t know how many people you’ve invited, but I’ve booked a restaurant called Tujague’s which is located in the French Quarter for my wedding reception. We will have 20+ guests and are paying around $1,000 for a private room which includes an open bar for three hours and a huge buffet dinner!

As far as private catering and own alcohol goes, I won’t be able to help you. I contacted at least 30 different venues before picking a place for my reception and very few of them allowed you to bring your own food (some courtyard hotels do, though), let alone alcohol.

I hope you find a place that suits your budget and style! Good luck!

My friend had her wedding at Benachi House. I didn’t get to attend since I was out of the county at the time, but she raved about it and loved how she was able to decorate everything just the way she wanted. She was slightly upset about the noise restriction times, though.

I spoke to the owner of the benaxhi house to get a quote for my wedding and the rental fee is about twice your budget but on the plus side you have the venue for the entire day

update on Benachi house: If you want to do both the rehearsal dinner and wedding there he is charging $6500 regardless of if you stay 2 or 3 nights as the rental fee. This does not include any catering, etc.
