@WhiteViolet:  me! my SO and my dad both hated cats. not they enjoy them (but swear it is only because my kitty acts like a dog)

My FI hated them too and I CONVERTED him haha! He looks our 2 sweet kitties now (they really are sweet. If they were bad tempered like some cats, he would still detest them.) Here’s Liza:

actually he turned me into a cat lady! We had so many conversations about it and he kept saying how much he loves his cat. I thought I wanted a dog, then I went to petsmart when they were having an adopting event with the full intention of getting a puppy. I walked past a table with 8 week old kittens. There was a sleepy little boy in the cage all by him self and I told the lady I wanted to hold him. I FELL IN LOOOOVEEE. We named him Blaze and adopted another little boy 3 months later and named him Charlie They are now 3 and both Orange Tabby cats ๐Ÿ™‚

@Girasole:  i love when they sleep in that position!

Cats are great if your young and dont have the time/schedule for dogs. my cat is fine alone for a weekend and if i leave longer i just have someone pop in every few days to cuddle and add water/food if need be

@subtlebee:  My Cats are SOOO needy. I can’t leave them alone for 3 days. Lets just say I came home to a mess after a trip once and they gave me a look that said DO NOT EVER LEAVE US AGAIN

I call him the cat whisperer.  We go out for walks, and somehow the neighborhood cats will come up to him and let him pet them.

I try the same methods, and nope, no cats for me.

At least our own cats have the same disdain for both of us.

YES! DH hated cats, said they had a couple when he was growing up but they were always mean. I secretly think he didn’t pay them any attention so they didn’t give a damn about him.

Right before we were set to move in I heard a coworker had found a stray kitten (found caught in barbed wire) and was trying to find it a home. None of the no-kill shelters had room. So he gave in and let me take her.

Honestly he kind of ignored her for a bit but he now loves her. We got another cat in June when someone else I knew found a stray kitten. DH loves him too, said he’s never met a sweeter cat.

He’s still a dog person (we have a dog as well) but he does love our cats.

Here’s Albus
