Yep, I tend use the broader categories more often and the specific less.  I also can’t see my PMs, so I often miss replies/get to them later as I have to dig up the thread a different way.

I don’t look at the different categories anymore, I just look at the front page. Its also harder to post links (unless I link a specific word, it takes my links to the top of the page, and they all mix together,) so I don’t feel like posting links as much.

    AB Bride:  +1

I find it too much of a hassle to go to the individual categories now, so I just tend to scroll through the first 2-3 pages of the main board homepage.

I actually love the new site. (I think I’m the only one) I haven’t had any glitches and think it looks great. I still use everything the same and am just patiently waiting for things like polls (yay!) or OP boxes to come back. Every time a site changes you lose a lot of people. I think if we all just moved on and stopped raging about it the transition would go eAsier

Definitely! there seems to be a lot less new topics so now I’ll only scroll through maybe the first two pages but no more than that and click on a thread or two that look interesting. Before I would scroll through heaps of pages as well as go in to specific boards and actively search for interesting topics. It seems like it takes almost as long now to see less threads than it did before to see more.

Yes, only in that when I’m on mobile I avoud anto thread that will be longer than 3 pages/30 posts because I don’t have the patience to click through. That will be solved as soon as they bring out a Go to page fix for mobile. There’s other stuff I miss but I don’t mind waiting for it. And I don’t understand why it’s so hard to visit the specific boards (On desktop)? – well even on mobile it’s not too bad.

Bridey77:  I used to have WB as an open tab on my browser.  Now I removed it from the tab so rather than browse several times a day I only look once or twice at night.  On the positive side it used to be possible to spend tons of time on the site rather than doing what had to be done, so I’m more productive now. In addition I used the site more heavily in the beginning when I was trying to make the big decisions about my wedding, now that I’ve made most of those I don’t look/post/ask near as much.

Yup! I’m actually more vocal on the boards now since the change than I use to be. Mostly because before I would have to write out my whole comment  onto my phone to then copy & paste it into the comment box but since the change it’s been alot easier for me to just type it straight out into the comment box. Although it still has a slight glitch where I have to type slowly, letter by letter, or else a few letters I type don’t show up on the screen.

Oh, & yes it does seem like there’s “less” now. It was just such a drastic change from what we were use to, it will take some time to become accustom with the new format (& hopefully we’ll get some more improvements).

Since the changei don’t visit the site as much. I find the pages take longer to loaf especially on the mobile. I also hate that on the mobile view you can’t just select which page number you want to go to as there is only the “next page” option. I also don’t like that you can’t tell which topic the main board posts are from. I just find the site a bit more of a pain to use now.

It’s changed how active I am definitely. Browsing the forums seems much harder work than before, but also I think it’s partly due to the email notifications of responses – I tended to log on mainly to see if anyone had messaged me at all, or I’d got any replies, and then browse the threads when I arrived. But now I get the email notifications I don’t come on as much.

Yeah, I’m not as active as before. I feels like work to navigate through the site, and I don’t come here to expend a lot of energy and effort. It’s not a matter of it being a change – I embraced the FB changes, for example – it’s that the site is so poorly done and our issues are hardly ever addressed.

Yes, I post less now.  I used to load WB first thing every morning when I got to work and checked out the “topics with no replies” page (which doesn’t seem to exist anymore) to respond to missed posts overnight, then check in on the other boards.  Now, it’s too hard to load a lot of the posts and I get frustrated.  I read a lot more articles at work now and a lot less WB.

I used to post wedding photos pretty frequently on the “show me your ______” posts, but since they’re not saved anymore I don’t. I also avoid all the big juicy threads on my phone cause it sucks trying to get to the most recent page. And I read fewer posts in general, since I miss the feature where it showed you who was the most recent poster.

I have strep throat and I can’t sleep cause it hurts so fucking much, so I’m reading everything right now!
