NishP27 - I LOVE that dress!!! Who is the designer and how much are the dresses?
It's a Mori Lee- Under 150.00, I think it was roughly 130.00,my bridesmaid love it, all 8 of them!!! So...we'll see once we start the fitting.
Here's mine: J Crew Silk Sophia. My pink was on sale and instock for $99. My girls LOVE them. (we're having a beach wedding which is why its so simple and kind of informal)

I LOVE Nish's Mori Lee dress. It would have been more fun to shop for something a little more glam.
J Crew Juilette in orange, I just love them. I got them last year though so the color is more orange than this one. I should have gotten one for myself for the great deal that I got on them!

Here is mine.. the color seems a bit off on the computer.. it's a cobalt blue. Originally I was going to let each bridesmaid pick their own dress as long as they were all knee length.. then we went in and started trying some on and every bridesmaid fell in love with this one, they even decided to go ahead and keep it long!

They are all pretty! At first I wanted tea length dresses, but some of the girls aren't comfortable with that length so too the floor we go!!! Lol!
Mine are getting J. Crew- this silk taffeta dress was on sale from over $200 to $140! They all wanted J. Crew so I was glad it worked out being affordable. They are wearing them in black.

Cherry Limeaide! I loved that dress when I was looking online, but it didn't look good on my girls - loved the pockets (that one had pockets, right? I looked at so many!).
Here's the one we finally decided on...and all the girls said they like it so much they'd wear it again. It'll be in chocolate brown:

OOOh -- I love the J Crew taffeta! We were afraid they would be too hot for our 90º outdoor wedding but we looked at and love that dress! And the lilac too --- soooo pretty. They're all pretty. Seems like bridesmaid dress have come a long way!
@ kjpugs: two of my maids are wearing that same dress, the JCrew sangle strapless in silk taffeta in brook!

Gosh darn it! I love all the JCrew stuff and am planning to go that route. I'd love to snap up dresses right now for my sister (the only bridesmaid) while they're on a major sale... but we're not engaged yet!!! Grrarh.
I wonder if I could buy one "for myself", never wear it and then shift it into bridesmaid status...

I'm in a wedding next year and this is the dress we are wearing! I love it more than I loved my own bridesmaid's gowns.
My goal was to find a BM dress that I would want to buy too! Well.. my BMs LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress. it will be black with an ivory ribbon!

My girls wore this lilac dress from David's Bridal which was very reasonable and comfortable for ladies of all sizes!

We finally just picked one out - after about 10 months of procrastination! Our colors are black and silver, so it seems perfect. It is from Nordstrom's and is $158.

@NewNoble.....I picked that exact dress out of a magazine! Love it. My MOH is going to have one made in a style similar. It is simply beautiful!!!
I love mine! It was on clearance for $39. My only fear is that some of the girls haven't tried it on yet (pretty much refused to do so during the 90 day return period) and if they don't fit I don't think it is fair for me to have to buy new dresses at the last minute. I stress over this almost daily. :(

we recently changed our dress to a more affordable, but very similar style for our november 'brown, blue, ivory and antique gold" color themed-wedding; this dress is from gojane.com and we were able to order all our girls' dresses (3 bridesmaids) with free shipping for a total of about $150.

This is my maid of honor trying on the watermelon dress at davids bridal. We were trying to decide which color looked better. I am going with the watermelon.
We were standing next to a ivory dress they had on display.
I['m gonna pick a color from ariadress.com, and let them pick the dress, as long as its the shorter length!
I am having a black tie optional wedding...but I didn't want my girls wearing floor length. None of them would have ever worn the dresses again so I went with cocktail length.
My colour theme is dark red BUT I didn't find a dress in dark red I loved, so I got these, and the guys will wear red vests/ties.
Here's what my bridemaids are wearing. This is my MOH (minus her head:-). The dress is pretty cleavage revealing so we're going to get it stitched up similar to how she's holding it.
Dresses are brown but look black in the picture :-)
