@Overjoyed:  I think it would depend on the feature, but every guy who has dated me has loved my curly hair and big boobs.  None of the guys I’ve dated look anything like the next one, so I don’t think I have a “type,” and I don’t think the guys I’ve dated have a type either since none of the girls they dated had curls like mine (or my amazing boobs, obviously lol jk, but they’re not fake).  It doesn’t hurt or offend me or anything at all – it’s great that they love things that are naturally me!

@Overjoyed:  Hrm, I don’t think so.  It would obviously be that he had a “type” and that’s fine.  I wish I could date all Channing Tatum lookalikes, but unfortunately there aren’t enough out there.  Actually, my FI says I like “dark” guys – mainly because I’ve dated hispanic men with dark features and he’s white and has medium brown hair and blue eyes, so he doesn’t ‘fit’ the bill.  Anthony Pettis certainly does and he’s my other celebrity crush.  Sooo, maybe I fetishize? lol.  I just think there are certain things people are attracted to, physically, and that’s not a problem with me.  My bff is Korean though and she dated a white guy and all his exes were asians and she wondered if he was just dating her bc she was Korean, but I think that if that were the case, it would be like any relationship built on just physical attraction – and not last.

The only thing I’ve been told about myself in that way is that they prefer “brunettes,” and with that being so common, it didn’t feel too fetishy. If it was something more rare and I felt like they were objectifying me that would be creepy and a turn-off.

I have always been a hippy girl.  I’ve had comments since I was about 16 from guys who loved my junk.  I’ve always been a bit of a magnet for ‘ass’ men, my fh is more of a boobs man, mine are ample but certainly not overly large (not quite in proportion to my booty)

(and it’s never bothered me a bit)

mmmmm… this is an interesting question. No, I don’t think I’ve been fetishized. i do have an accent and i see that some guys who wouldn’t give me the time of day seem a little into me because of that.

for me, whether i’d feel fetishized or not, would have to do with

1) how specific that one feature was (like: is it something “general” like my hair color, skin type, butt; or is it like… he’s into feet?)

2) how loved i felt otherwise

@Overjoyed:  I don’t think you should be worried about something like that.

I think that when we like a certain thing (biracial, girls in glasses, oversized nipple) we tend to discard other people and notice only the ones with the certain thing, and thus, naturally, we end up falling in love with someone with this feature

Having a certain feature is what attracts the person to you, but it’s not what makes them stay with you.

@Overjoyed:

On a personal note: I’m latin. My husband is as white as they come. 90% of his previous girlfriends were not  white (black, filipino, native american). He just gravitates towards non-white girls. I do joke sometimes about him being with me only cause I’m not white, but I feel very loved. And I’ve always dated blondish guys, which he is. It isn’t that I fetishize him: it’s simply that I gravitate towards them

On a not personal note: if it was something specific like an overbite or outie bellybuton, I think I would laugh it off. The way I see it, a man gets married because he falls in love, and never only because you have a feature that he’s into. But if you do have it, then awesome.

@Overjoyed:  LOL. I wish my husband was totally into my pimples!

I think I’d feel a little self conscious about that, but I wouldn’t doubt his love
