I had them at my wedding, out of 25 pairs, I only had 4 left, so I considered it a success. Several of my guests came up and told me how much they loved the flip flops!

Yes, I’ve been to a few weddings where they had a flip flop basket set up in the ladies room. They were all gone within seconds of the reception starting! I want to do this too, but I’m going to miss the old navy sale this year, so I’m not sure how I’m going to get enough.

I think its a cute idea if you think your guests will wear them. None of my guests are flip flop people, so no flip flop basket for me

@loveknows: The DJ table was set up right next to the dance floor, so I set the basket down right in front of it. You want the basket to be close to the dance floor. Plus, I was the first person to grab a pair. The other girls saw me ditch my heels and caught on to the idea.

A lot of the weddings I’ve coordinated have had them, and for almost all of them I was packing up a ton of leftover or discarded flip flops at the end of the night.

I have never seen this at a wedding.  My guests might take the flipflops home but wouldnt actually wear them at the wedding, same for me too

if someone was giving out free flip flops at a wedding i sure as heck would grab a pair – especially knowing my shoes come off at somepoint during every wedding i’ve been to – even my own.

I had them at my wedding and EVERYONE loved them. I had 20 pairs and 4 left over.

I sat them next to the head table.

I’d take a pair (who can’t use free flip flops?), but probably not wear them at the wedding.  I wear high heels to work every day and am comfortable standing and walking in them.  I’d feel awkward wearing a dressy dress and rubber flips.

I plan on getting some for the bmaids because their dresses are long but not for all the guests – it’s November in Canada, nobody’s really going to be wanting flip flop action….

Just a heads up that the Old Navy flip flop sale is this Saturday!  All FFs a buck!

I went to a wedding that had them and KNEW I had to do it at mine. We put our basket in the bathroom, but now seeing that people put them by the dance floor, I like that idea better!

My cousin had an indoor/outdoor wedding with lawn games and had two fairly large baskets of flip-flops. They were all taken.
