I used to work at a club and you would be surprised how many of the girls do not have any kind of formal dance training. I was brought up in dance and gymnastics so I can work a pole, or at least I used to before I had knee surgery but you can always tell the types who have no clue what they are doing.
I have seen male and female and <eh> on both. Male dancers are just awkward and frankly naked guys are not as visually appealing as naked girls. It kinda just hangs there. Women have curves to keep the eyes busy. And yes, at strip clubs skin goes a long way and it seems dance talent is not required.
Yup....once in the Bronx after a Yankees game (I don't recommend it), once in the city after a work event, once in update NY and once in Miami.......female strippers...I need to be very tipsy to go because I don't really love strip clubs.....
I have never been to a strip club, or any club, for that matter, but I'm a young'n. I'm only 20.
I don't plan on going to a strip club, though...unless I'm stripping :) I'm a bit of an exhibitionist lol (but seriously, I wouldn't really strip)
I've been to both, and was a) bored with the ladies, not because I wasn't interested in them but because they themselves were bored with what they were doing and b) enthralled with the guys- they were hilarious! They really got into it. I've also been to Thunder from Down Under, which is a pretty PG-13 rated show. It. Was. Awesome. It was just funny, not sexy. They pranced about, danced on our tables, one guy even sat on my lap and gave me a kiss. It was a totally innocent thing though- the girls were SCREAMING for them, and then just danced around. I'm pretty sure all of them are gay, but who cares- it was just fun entertainment.
Yup! Been to both and I think they're a lot of fun. That's my personal opinion though and I can see how some people might find it awkward/gross/trashy. To me, the adult industry is just another branch of entertainment so I see nothing wrong with clubs, I just stay away from the "darker side" of things, and trust me it's there.
I much prefer the female clubs. I prefer the gentleman's club in my city because it's more upscale and women guests have to be accompanied by a male or they are turned away. It's just a nicer, more upscale club that enforced "gowns." ie: it's less trashy.
Male strippers are a little kookie but whatever, I just laugh at it and have a good time. The female dancers though can really put on a show if they are good.
I've been to a strip club and saw female strippers. Was terribly bored an thought the girls were gross. Heavy, heavy makeup, orange tans, crunchy overdyed blonde hair, absolutely horrendous boob jobs that look like someone pasted water balloons to their chests. You know the type. I think the nude female form is gorgeous, but these strippers were awful. I don't think I could ever enjoy a strip club, frankly, or any strip club I can imagine. Something very skeevy about being surrounded by a 99% male crowd of strangers getting boners at women sliding their privates along a dirty pole.
Went on my bachelorette, I was looking forward to pole acrobatics too, but only one even did anything other than put her hand on it. Lame!
I went once my freshmen year in college with some guys in our hall and my BFF at the time. We took shots beforehand and we were curious! It was a little funny though, because the moves those strippers were doing were not erotic.. I seriously feared for their lives.. I mean it was cool and all but I stood there worried pretty much the whole time. I didn't understand why men would find that sexy.
We (the girls and friends not FH) use to go all the time because its the only place open after 1am!
I even made some $ on midget night! (not stripping just up there with them)
Yes, but only for bachelorette parties, mostly in Vegas. My friends live in Southern California and it's practically tradition to rent a few suites in Venitian and go to OG's! It's all for fun and laughs and never taken seriously (BTW, I highly recommend Yohan if you're there, he's a non-sleezy nice guy and even told me stories about his grandmother!) HAHA!
I've been to a couple bachelor parties either at a house or in a local hotel (non-Vegas) and in that environment, it never was as fun. It felt a little freaky actually, and sometimes the guys are perverts and seem to take it too seriously leaving all the girls running around the room to get away from them. Maybe becuase in that setting it's more intimate and feels more sleezy, or maybe it was just the particular strippers that made it seem that way ... I dunno.
I've never seen female strippers though, except while passing the club onto the male stripper section. But clubs nowerdays have go-go dancers, usually on poles and come to think of it, when I was very young, I've seen a few drunken college students in Tijuana get on stage and start to take it off
does that count?!
I agree with @RenoRose. I think they can be a lot of fun too if you're there with the right people.
yup I've been, I went with a group of guys who wanted to go. dont know what all the hype is about though. Some of the girls, I was impressed with their dancing and pole uhhh...climbing? abilities haha. But the majority of the dancers were not what they show in the movies...most of them had piercings in places i didnt even know was possible and two even had a C-section scar......oh man. All in all, it was nothing special. They had a football game going on on huge flat screens, and the majority of the crowd was more interested in the game....save for the guys sitting right at the foot of the stage drooling. The announcer got realllllly into it. he would say "ITTTT'SSSS NAKKKKKED TIMMMMMEEEE" for every girl HAHAHAHAHA cracked. me. up.
I went to one with my fiance. He was my boyfriend at the time. It was kinda awkward, but a lot of fun. At least, I had a story to tell my friends.
Nope and don't plan on it. Have no interest and find the idea repulsive. But I have no problem with anybody who does enjoy going. I agree with the poster above that it's just a form of entertainment. Just not for me.
I've been to both. I didn't really enjoy either. I had a hard time watching the girls, and the guys just made me feel uncomfortable. I guess I just don't really understand the appeal.
I've been to a few.. only female strippers, and I'm straight so I was able to look at it objectively instead of frantically looking for dollar bills. I've made the horrible mistake of walking into a all nude bar once (a friend had to run in and out) and the 5 minutes I've spent in there might have possibly caused some trauma in my sex life hehe. awful stuff. I have been to 2 places where girls are wearing bikinis and bras etc. so there is less nudity but amazing dancing. I literally sat there in awe and stared as girls were doing acrobatics on the poll. I would not go and see a male stripper because I don't find guy in g-strings sexy and I would hate if they touched me. Seems slimy. I may beat up my bridesmaids if they surprise me with one. Over all it's not as much fun as they make it to be in movies.
Original question: have you ever gone to a strip club?
YES
Have you seen strippers?
NO
Many years ago now, my girlfriends and I decided to go to the only male stripclub in our area, which was in the basement of a female stripclub. We entered the parking, parked the car, opened the doors, got a sleezy line from a sleezy guy coming out of the club, so we returned to the car before stepping foot in the club and never went again.
Been to both, and I enjoy the girls a lot better. The guys get too oiled up!!
I've never been but I would be willing to go to one if it was an expensive/classy one with some GOOD dancers
Best female strippers: Miami. Even the clubs on SoBe have strippers they hire to work the bar tops on Friday/Saturday nights if you're too shy to go to a strip club, and these girls WORK.
Best male: Atlanta. I'm no prude, but my eyes fell out my head. These dudes are something else. Vegas is really watered down and silly, just for fun. :P
My first and only time going to a strip club was also FH's first and only time, to date, and it was with female strippers. It was weird at first but after being there a while, like all things I guess, you get used to it. I just felt sad because I couldn't help but think what circumstances led those girls to be in the situation.
I think if I saw a guy stripper, I would just be really weirded out.
Been to both female and male strip clubs. I lived in Las Vegas for three years, and I gotta tell you, the (female) strippers out there are IMPRESSIVE. Impressively gorgeous, impressive dancers, etc. I had a lot of fun!
@octopus: I think that in certain places like Las Vegas, a lot of those girls are aspiring models/movie stars/singers/whatevers, and they use it as a way to get noticed, especially at big name clubs where connected people play.
I have not been and have no desire to go to a strip club. My friend's coworkers got her a male stripper as a mini bachelorette party one night (at a house, not at work!), and she said all the middle aged women were getting drunk and playing grab-ass. I would be embarrassed for everyone involved. As for clubs, let's just say that I've known girls who were strippers, and I don't live in Las Vegas. She used to complain about how none of her coworkers knew how to dance. I can't speak to her own abilities, though.
Been to both once. The female strip club just increased my utter contempt for the whole thing; while the male strip club was flat out ridiculous (so good for a laugh).
Lol, I got dragged to a strip club as a joke for my 19th birthday. I was so scared to be one of the few women there, and I was SHOCKED when I realized there were more women then men! I don't think they were lesbians (which is what I am sure most people think), just a bunch of friends having fun. I was still weirded out though. Way too many boobs for my taste, hehehe

Male strippers, female strippers, whatever.
I've never gone to see male strippers, although I went to a party where there was a male stripper one time. I was just kind of embarrassed for him.
But I have gone to a club to see female strippers with some guy friends before. I was just curious. And more than anything, I was just disappointed at what bad dancers they all were! I wanted to see some crazy pole action, blackflips and stuff, but most of them could barely walk in their platform lucite heels.
Sigh.
