- Wedding: June 2013 - Upstate NY
I have amassed quite a few bridesmaids dresses. They’re cute (sort of) but NOTHING I would ever wear again becuase they look so “bridesmaid”- flowy skirt, weird colors… just… no.
Show us pics if you can- at the wedding and after!

Most of them no – the one that was an off the rack dress – yes!

I sold mine after the wedding I was in. No point in keeping a dress I’ll never wear again.

My SIL was kind enough to choose this J Crew dress when she married my brother:
That’s me with FI when I wore the dress to church one day, I believe more than a year after the wedding.
EDIT: I found one of the pro pics with all three bridesmaids:

I tried to keep rewearing in mind when I picked out my BM dresses. It’s a rater cute style (and not flowy) and light yellow. While I can’t guarantee that my BMs will wear it again, I would totally rock it with a cardigan over top.

I was in my sister’s wedding when I was 16 and rewore that dress to my senior prom a year later. It was a strapless and long dress in a kind of shiny mint green color.

i’ve been in one wedding and i was able to wear the dress again for a military ball. the dress cost $250 after alterations, so i was very glad that i got more than 1 use out of it. i may have it shortened to make it more versatile so i can wear it more. this is the dress (we wore it in black): http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Ruched-Satin-Ball-Gown-F13974

I was in a 1950’s wedding where we wore poodle skirts. This is the only bridsmaid outfit I have reworn out of 3 weddings and I wore it on halloween!

The only weddings I was ever in were as a child: two flower girls and two junior bridesmaids (once at 11 once at 13) so I outgrew my dresses too quickly to even have the option of rewearing mine. One of my friends wore a dress as a bridesmaid that I saw a photo of her wearing at a nice dinner with her parents recently though.

My good friend asked me to wear whatever I felt comfortable in. Of course I have worn that again!
I’d never wear a “bridesmaid dress” except for the sake of a friend on her wedding day…and even if it wasn’t specifically a “bridesmaid dress,” but something my friend picked, the chances that her taste and mine are that similar? Very low. I’m super-picky about my clothing.
On my friend’s wedding day though, I will wear a bedazzled burlap sack with a hoola hoop for an accessory, and a firm smile in place the whole time, if that’s what makes her happy.

I’ve been a bridesmaid in 3 weddings, and I wore the dress from wedding #1 to the rehearsal dinner of wedding #2. But that’s it so far.

ive never been a bridesmaid myself, but my sis has been a BM a fair few times and i take all of her floor length BM dresses when shes done with them (ie directly after wedding haha).
You may not be able to wear them again in UK (which is where we are both from) but you can certainly wear them where i live in Mexico. For every wedding ive ever been to here guests wear floor length dresses and traditional BM ones are perfect.
if anything theyre almost too simple (as here a lot of dresses tend to be bright, have rhinestones, ruffles or extra decoration)

Big fat NOPE to the 3 bridesmaids dresses I’ve had to purchase. One was shiney periwinkle and white, the second was a long, satin clover green monstrosity, and the third was satin in watermelon pink. Definitely not my style!

Yes. I had a BM dress that was floor length navy blue dress. It had butterfly sleeves though which I didn’t like so I had altered to sleeveless.
There’s also a purple knee length dress that I didn’t wear again but I gave it to my cousin which she wore as a bridesmaid to another wedding with mismatched BM dresses.

I wore one of my bridesmaids dresses for Halloween. I went as Miss Piggy.
