(Closed) Have you gained weight since your wedding and what it happy weight?

I didn’t gain weight until 2 years in. And then I put on close to 20lbs 🙁

It is “happy weight” for sure, though, and DH and I are working on getting healthier together. It makes all the difference in the world! So glad your DH is willing to support you in this and do it as a family!

I gained about 40 lbs after the wedding (over about a year and a half).  It wasn’t happy weight though.  I was battling depression and anxiety (over my job but it was affecting all areas of life) and worrying about my weight just wasn’t in the cards at the time.

 

I lost about 10 lbs of that just from getting the depression and anxiety controlled (and getting a new, better job) and I’ve started Weight Watchers with DH to lose the rest.  I’m down another 14 lbs since starting WW.

Yep, DH and I have both gained. We’ll be working on it, though (I just got a bunch of workout videos, plus I think we’re going to take advantage of his parents’ gym in their condo).

I gained about 3 pounds…but, then found out I was pregnant, so not worrying about it now!  ha!

@rozzy:  It’s been one month!  Did you really gain weight?

 

I’m the same – my weight has not fluctuated that much in my adult life.  I am happy with my weight, but I would not mind toning up my butt and abs more.  I’ve started trail running and soon mountain biking will start.

I have but I think mine is a “we started brewing beer and I’m drinking way too much of it” weight lol

Yes!  5 lbs in a month!  Totally my fault though.  As soon as we got on our honeymood I had beer, junk food, and stopped working out.  So I gave myself that time to just enjoy the things I didn’t allow myself to have before the wedding. I started working out again this week, April 1st and I’m setting small goals to hopefully get myself fit.
