@Deejayelle:  I actually own a Ouija Board from the late 1800’s…and THAT thing is a trouble maker.  It’s never been played with, and actually has not been touched since Mr. 99 and moved into our home over 7 years ago.  It sits, on the top of an eight foot tall book shelve, in a pile of salt, with white sage around it….every once in a while, it….”acts up” as we put it, and the house becomes a paranormal playground for a few months, but I’m happy to report that lately, the board…she sleeps.

We did play the Ghost Party Game at a halloween party last year, it was a little different, because how is that fun if you aren’t all getting the crap scared out of you???  BUT…nothing really happened, except a bunch of drunk people trying to sound like ghosts…

@Splodge2003:  It was the summer of 2012, the house went through some sort of event for about three and a half months, it finally quieted down in October…but, some of the things that happened included all of the pictures on the walls falling down at the same time, doors opening and slamming shut in the night, the sound of a person running up and down our stairs….I suffered a terrible bout of insomnia, which is NOT like me, I usually sleep on average, 10 hours a night.  I heard voices talking to me in my kitchen, the stove was turned on a few times in the night and several glasses and pieces of china were found broken on the floor, those are in a china buffet with doors.

…sounds fun, right?

I’m happy we’re past that, and sincerely would not wish it on anyone I know.

@Nona99:  Ahhh that’s so scary!!  What makes you connect it to the Ouija board?  And why don’t you just get rid of it?

@ebarnes0:  …Oh, I don’t think it was JUST the ouija board, my home is filled with things from the past, none of which I would ever part with, partly because I love them and also because I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t make that much of a dent….I think it was a lot of things converging on each other at the same time….we have belches here and there, but nothing like that summer…I honestly think its me, and these things are mine, for a reason.

@Splodge2003:  I would never part with it…could you imagine that thing in the hands of some dolt?  No, no….it will be in my care for the rest of my life, then, my daughter will be its caretaker, along with everything else.

@Nona99:  Oh I gotcha…I was wondering what the Ouija board did that made you think it was that haha.  Interesting…I’m glad you aren’t going through that anymore, and I understand wanting to hold onto certain things, but I would have probably burned anything I thought could have a connection to that haha…I wouldn’t deal well.

@Deejayelle:  no, and I never will play these games. Like you, the older I get, the more scared I am.

The last scary movie I saw was The Woman in Black and I hid under my coat the entire time…poor DH paid for my movie ticket for no reason!

I seriously cannot watch any movie or show dealing with possession. Even thinking about it makes me wonder if it will invite spirits into my life. Scaredy cat right here *points to self* yet I always get sucked into reading ghosts stories… and immensely regret it later. Lol

I was too scared to even go to the website, so nope – I would not play those games!
