GIRL! We just had a entertainment U/S on Friday and found out we are having another baby girl in December! We are so excited!
Her name will be Thayer James – I’m sure some of you won’t like a prodominantly masculine name for a girl, but what do we think?! 🙂

@swissbride: just the way it looks 🙂 it’s a surname we found….. Th(long A)- er.
I know it’s not for everyone, but we like unique! And to me most surnames are pretty unisex – and like I tell my inlaws…. Names like Ashley, Kim, even Carrol started as male names!

@emersynsmommy35: In person, great name. To see it on a resume, or any document for that matter, very likely anyone will assume it’s a man’s name. She’ll just have to write Ms. Thayer James I guess to make it clear

Congrats, and I love the name! I have a thing for typically masculine names for girls though, so no surprise 🙂

I like the name. WhenI was born in the 80’s, Jordan was a boy name. So masculine. But my parents wanted me to have a masculine name so that when employers saw my masculine name, they would give me a chance if they happened to be sexist or I happened to apply in a male-dominated field. 🙂
