We had a friend marry us…in Colorado you can self solomnize (sp) where you can sign your own wedding license.  He was ordained online years ago, in which case he would have signed our license had it been necessary.  So, basically he married us and then we went and signed our documents and mailed them in later to be stamped, etc.

FutureFinch:  I had a friend marry us… And, I believe she only had to get ordained. She was already a minister, and I think it was a fairly easy process for her, too. I don’t recall how she personally signed the marriage certificate (and I’m not home to check), but she watched us sign immediately after we walked from the alter.  She signed it and mailed it for us, and we had it (and the confirmation) back when we returned from our honeymoon.
