I'm going through the same thing, I keep finding different things. If you find anything out please please please post it. I'm going to try to mae some phone calls to find out once I have time.
I live in AAC. I called the Circuit Court Clerks office and the woman told me only a clerk or an officiant endorsed by a recognized clergy could legally perform marriages in MD. I didn't specifically ask if an online ordainment counts, but I've read in some places the validity of the marriage could come into question with an online ordainment. I think the best thing to do is call and ask the particular county. PG's link is: http://www.co.pg.md.us/Government/JudicialBranch/Clerk/marriage_license.asp
Good luck!!
@purpleDP: I totally forgot about this thread. I live in AAC as well but getting married in Queen Anne's County, I was told as long as they are ordained in a state they are fine, since FI's grandmother is from WV but she is ordained there.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I would really like my brother to officiate our wedding but I am not sure where to begin doing the research to see if this is even legal in MD (PG County) and what the process of having him ordained entails.
I've googled but haven't found anything concrete. Any help out there bees?
