Okay so this is the wedding cake design we're doing:

having a hard time with a cake decision... : wedding cake Cake

But instead of having the bakery make the brooches edible (it'll cost way too much) I'm trying to find brooches they can put on them. I've narrowed it down to these two, but can't decide which. The first one is 2" wide and the second is 3" wide.

I really like the first one, I think it's more ornate but a little smaller, so it won't be too much.  CUTE cake idea, by the way!

I love the design of the first brooch, so I picked that one, but if you could get it in 3" size it would probably look better. I love that cake design though.

I voted for the smaller one 1) because I think it's prettier and 2) it will probably be lighter and therefore easier to get to stay on the cake the way you want it to look :)

LOL I was just looking at your other post of this cake on the "what's your cake and how much?" post....it's soooo pretty!!! I'd voted for the first brooch, it is intricate and looks more expensive/glamourous :-)

Both are really pretty, but they're SO different. The first looks more vintage & the second is more modern. I can see why it's so hard to choose :)

So I based my vote on size. I would go with the bigger brooch just because I think bigger would look better on the tiers. I think that a larger brooch would stand out more against such a huge bow.

thanks bees! that is my problem though, i like the design of the first one better but just wish it came in three inches instead of two! i'm hoping that it doesn't look too small..

The one you showed us has multiple brooches, why can't you use both?  But if you have to choose, definitely the first one, it looks more vintage and has more of a visual impact.

I like the first one, maybe you could use 2-3 in a cluster to make it look bigger? maybe that wouldn't be cost effective though...

I like the first one. Though I wonder if it will be big enough.
