@mrssoontobeh:  Do you have a timeline? that’s the key. ONce that happens and SO makes a big purchase like that, its like, dude, you know the consequences.

Aww I’m sorry! We all have those days…I find a little chunky monkey and some chick flicks typically cheer me up. Waiting truly can be so HARD at times! At least you know yours will be happening next year, and I know the time will just fly by between now and then :]

Men can be frustrating..

Enjoy your ice-cream, your time will come (I know that sounds so cliche, but really, it will!)

@mrssoontobeh:  Oh sweetie, it’ll be okay. 🙁

I know where you are and I promise, your pity party will be a YAY I GET TO MARRY HIM party. It might not be when you want it but it will happen.

Try to enjoy your ice cream and smile that you’ve found the man you want to marry, that’s something to celebrate. An engagement will come, maybe not when you’d like it to, but at least you know it’ll happen next year. You’ve got a lot to look forward to.

@mrssoontobeh:

Hugs! I am right there with ya in not knowing a thing and feeling left in the dark. I think it might be by the end of next year like he says, but that’s not a definate either. I was also told it would be within a year of dating and we have been dating for a year and 3 months now.  Who knows. I do know he doesn’t have the ring yet either so to me it doesn’t look like it will happen by the end of the year. But the thing is we never really know, do we until it happens.

@katlovesjames:  I agree with what you say – yay to finding the man you want to marry!

I get annoyed with SO sometimes for taking forever to be ready, but then I remember I found my forever person, and that’s kind of a nice feeling. I never really cared about getting married until I met him, and never in my life did I ever imagine someone could be so very good to me. So enjoy finding the right person! (though really we all know I’m one to talk =P)

P.S. That said it can be hard to enjoy the right person sometimes, like when they are taking forever!

@mrssoontobeh:  {big hugs} for you! i know now that the joyful day of proposal will come when you least expect it, and it will be wonderful. i totally agree with PPs that having found someone you love and look forward to marry is already a huge bite of happiness. enjoy it as much as you can.

I’m having a down day too. I found a handbag I really love and I asked SO to buy it for me for our anniversary in a few weeks, only if he wasn’t planning on getting me the ring for our anniversary instead. A few hours later SO proudly tells me he ordered the purse right away b/c there was only 1 left in stock. Thanks for completely blowing any hopes I had of a surprise engagement for our anniversary!!!! (Yes, he had already told me that he wouldn’t be popping the question until the holidays, but I was wishing & hoping he might’ve just said that to throw me off track  =/  )

I know how you feel hun you’re not alone and surrounded by ladies that understand you! I too hold pity parties for myself and they end with me feeling ok cause I rationalize that everything works out in the end for the best. I hope you’re feeling better today, one day closer to a new future!
