Barbiestylez:  I maybe a bit bias because I’m considering light pink peonies for my centerpieces and will be having ivory linens but with a silver runner. However that gold lace runner is sooo beautiful and if you go with the pink peonies I feel the pink would make it pop just enough.  The gold, to me, matches the style your going for more than the pink runner.

I like the gold lace runner. I’d also add some pink peonies for colour.

Barbiestylez:  You’ve done amazing with all of your choices so far so I know everything will turn out great. I have more ‘color’ to play with (ivory, silver, light pink & cobalt blue) but that doesn’t make it any easier. To me I think of ivory, nude and gold (in your case) as neutrals even though the pink is light it’s your pop of color. The table numbers, runners and back of the chair will be the right amount of gold (since it’s just bits of it) the ivory breaks up the color without being loud and the pink will be the pop needed to add ivisual interest. Can’t wait to see your recap I’m sure it will be stunning.

Barbiestylez:  What size and shape are your tables?  If you have 6′ round tables, your 72″ runner is just going to cover the top of the table with no overhang.

Have you considered using an organza overlay?

Barbiestylez:  why don’t you change the peonies from ivory to pink? there are beautiful pale pinks and more vibrant ones as well – that would be a simple change for no additional cost and would bring in a beautiful pink rather than a pepto thing.

I like the gold lace runners but I think 6″ will be too skinny.  I’m not a fan of the pink lace.  I agree with changing your centerpiece flowes to light pink and using the ivory linens.

Aw girl you’re overthinking it! Trust me, 60″ rounds get pretty filled up once you have 10 people and place settings at them. I wouldn’t change a thing, the flowers are gorgeous and I think simple and understated is much more elegant than trying to pile the table up with decorations. If you’re really unhappy, maybe look into colored napkins? OUr venue provided white tablecloths and white chairs, so I bought some blush-colored napkins online to give the tables a little more color. Ask the venues to drape the napkins at each place setting so they have more of a visual effect – at least until people sit down and dig in 😉

Hard to explain what I mean by draping, but here’s a pic! To me it looks much more sophisticated with the colored napkins, rather than a busy-looking runner.

You do not need pink linens to bring your colors in. You can add pink into your table numbers, you can make a menu on the correct colored pink card stock and set it on top of plates, you can spread light pink vase filer around the table, etc…
