Having an issue with an online shopping company — what would you do?

It happened to me before. FedEx and UPS were able to hold onto package at facility where I picked it up. USPS was a pain. I had to wait for item to be returned and resent. I accidentally did this with a ton of stuff I ordered online when we moved 6 months ago.

FI stalked the property when the tracking said item was out for delivery for one item that was sent. You could try to do this.

you might have to grab it as soon as its delivered. they will probably leave it at the front door.

If the delivery company doesn’t leave it at the front door and signature is required, the homeowner can refuse to sign and ask to get it taken to the closest delivery centre. Or if no one is there when the package comes then it’ll probably get taken to the closest facility. You can always call UPS/USPS and give the tracking number and they can reroute it to your new address. FedEx did it for my old engagement ring when I got it through the mail.

Can you call whoever’s shipping it and have them reroute or hold the package for you? I’ve seen those options when tracking my packages though I’ve never used them so not sure how it works.

Definitely call the shipping company and ask them to hold the package.

Barbiestylez:  As app has said, when you get the shipper information and tracking number, call the shipper and either have it re-routed to your new address or go pick it up at the terminal.

Barbiestylez:  you should call UPS and schedule a pick up instead of a delivery that’s your best bet.

Barbiestylez:  It depends on who you are referring to in your second last sentence. I doubt that USPS is set up to intercept a single package and take it out of the converyer belt for pickup.

I would have asked to speak to the manager at UPS as they do have tracking numbers and the ability to intercept a package.
