You can see about having the facility washing off the patio area with a pressure washer or a family member who can rent one and have it washed off a bit… And your gown is going to get dirty no matter what. Go for what you want to do and what you envision for your big day. Dry cleaners/gown preservationists can get lots of things out of gowns that you would be surprised.

Are you planning on bustling the dress up after the ceremony?

After an outdoor ceremony and pics the bottom of my dress was pretty bad, but you don’t see that in pics, or remember it for that matter.  And a trip to the dry cleaners got it out!

A good bustle. Mine took care of the train and dragging frears. Can’t wait to wear it

You should bustle it, and be prepared that it’s just gknna get dirty no matter what. Even inside!

Are you talking about before or after the ceremony? Like the PP said, you should bustle your train after. Also, a good cleaner can get out minor stains after the wedding.

IMO all wedding dresses should be dirty by the end of the night! It means you had a good time 😀

But yeah a bustle should help some.

I had an all lace gown with a cathedral length train.  Totally something you think that should not see even a perfectly manicured lawn.

I bustled my gown for my ceremony (just didn’t want to deal with it when saying my vows), but I did release the train for a few photos.  I know that seems opposite, but that’s what I wanted.  I came down stairs and an outdoor pathway, I just wanted it bustled for the ceremony.

It got dirty – I was in the forest with weeds, bushes, berries, even on a hiking trail – sweeping up pine needles and woodland creatures.  It was OK!  I loved every minute of it!  And my photos are wonderful!  Luckily it did not rip anywhere either!

I’m having an outdoor ceremony and I am really worried about picking up bugs with the train. I know how you feel!
