Seems like such a silly thing to worry about, but…
I have made a clear cards box to match our clear bonbonierre boxes but I am having a few doubts about it. If I’m to make or buy a new box, it has to be done by this Friday (!) before we leave for our overseas wedding. It is to be used for gift cards as well as ‘guest book’ cards (4×6 cards at each place setting for guests to write their comments on and then put in the box instead of writing in a guest book) at our reception. There are 76 people attending. I need honest advice please my doubts are:
a. Do you think it is a bad idea for security reasons?
b. Does it come across as a bit ‘grabby’ like we’re trying to see if it fills up?
c. Is it big enough (to be used for gift cards as well as ‘guest book’ cards)?
d. Am I just being a stress head?

How long are ppl going to be staring to your card box? Long enough to get any info? Are you inviting evil ppl to your wedding? What info would the be stealing that is private?
If you are worried, can’t you paint the inside of the box (or line it with pretty paper) so it still says “cards” on the outside?

@KellyLouise: it’s cute. i think you have bride brain and you’re overthinking it. 🙂
personally, i think it’s super fun and cute. don’t stress! i dont think it comes off as grabby at all, especially if it matches other decor.

@AJester2: Sorry, I should have also said that people are likely to be putting in cards of cash as well as comment cards. Hence the security worry.

Is it going to be out all night for people to put comments in? If so, I would make a different box for the comment cards.

I have a perspex box too…..I think it looks great! I’m not too worried about security of it. I hadn’t thought of that before 🙂
