it’s easy for your seamstress to make a deeper sweetheart. do you have pics of you in the dress?

i strongly prefer ambrosia. the skirt on sabelle looks overpowering on such a small frame (no offense! i’m about the same size). i would just have your seamstress alter the neckline.

I think the sweet heart would be easy to alter. I actually like the dress you chose best and I agree that it will probably look better on your petite frame 🙂

It’s hard without seeing you in either of them but I do love the Sabelle from seeing it on a couple of other bees. However, the picture of the altered neckline on the Ambrosia does look great and does actually make it a tough call

those dresses are so similar i dont think it matters which one you choose. if its just the neckline, then have it altered like everyone else said.

i am a bit confused by your post though. you said the girl said they didn’t have Sabelle, but then she offered it to try on because it was right in front of you??  also, before you make any decisions, i would call the store and find out if it is even possible to change the dress. if not, then you can be happy with Ambrosia and alter the neckline.  if you can, then decide which one you love more.

I am completely partial, because my wedding dress was the Sabelle. I have to say, I LOOOOOVED it! I have a small frame, and it definitely wasn’t too overpowering from my frame. I never thought I would receive so many comments on my wedding dress– but it was a HUGE success. One of the parts I loved most about my wedding (except for the getting married part, lol).

But honestly, in person, the dress is amazing. It is very detailed and just looks stunning.

You could probably make the other one poof out more by getting bigger crinoline underneath. I’m not sure about altering the neckline, though, because of all of the beads.

The first thing I would do is call your salon and see if it is even possible to change your order. If it isn’t, then you don’t have anything to keep wondering about. The second dress is still very beautiful, but I just absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sabelle!!!

PS- and I was the same way– I didn’t love the Sabelle on the hanger. It just didn’t seem like a gorgeous dress… until I put it on!

My daughter changed her dress order (a Maggie Sottero)  about 3-4 weeks after placing it.  The bridal shop was able to go online and check the status of her order.  The order hadn’t shown that it was ‘cut’ yet so the bridal shop was able to cancel that order and place a new order-she ended up with the Sabelle.  The 2 dresses are very similar and if you don’t care for taffeta, I don’t think  you can go wrong with the Ambrosia and just have the neckline altered!  Best wishes!

I had my dress altered to a sweetheart and love it! I voted that you keep the Ambrosia and getting the neckline altered. LOVE!
