My Fiance loves it… my mom loves it… everyone who’s seen it loves it. But I am not convinced, and with only 3 months before the wedding, that’s a problem. Am I crazy? What am I not seeing? I think maybe part of my problem is I don’t think I look good in sleeveless gowns… could I maybe add cap sleeves? What do you think, hive? I seriously have wedding dress regret. =(

You look fab in it!!
Uhh why don’t you like yourself in sleeveless?! Because that dress looks great on you! I love the sweatheart neckline and lace!
I think a lot of people go through some sort of dress regrets at first because you start to see soooo many dresses and start to doubt yourself! (including me)

aww…you look beautiful. Maybe it’s just jitters? Did you choose this dress only because everyone else liked it, or did you see it differently at the time for yourself?
I think your arms look perfectly fine..are you just self conscious? Cap sleeves would look just fine.

if you don’t like the sleeveless look, I highly suggest going on etsy and type in ‘bolero’ or ‘wedding jacket’ – so many cute things will pop up and it can really alter the look of the dress!
you look STUNNING in it though, as is.

I think the dress looks great on you. Think about how you felt in the dress at the store…it might ease your mind 🙂

I think your dress is beautiful. I think that there is so much detail on the bottom of the dress, that it does not look as balanced on the top right now. However, once you have on a beautiful necklace, earrings, a headpiece, and make up – I think you will just love the whole look. I really do love the dress and you look awesome in in!

I second the bolero- only because you say you don’t like the sleeveless look. I think you look fantastic.

I see a beautiful bride to be, don’t worry too much because you have no reason to, this dress suits you very well ! 🙂

@SummerDaisy: Very good point. As it is now, I agree that the look is kind of unbalanced, to be perfectly honest, since the top is so much different from the bottom. But I bet accessorizing would totally make a huge difference! The shape is very flattering on you and you look great in it.

You look beautiful in it! I love the bottom of your dress.
I know how sometimes I will feel that something’s a little not right and how much it can bother me so I understand if something minor is making you question it.
Like others have said, you should definitely try out a bolero with it if you would prefer to cover your arms ( though I think they look fine). Or you could wear a veil that will drape over your arms to conceal them and then you could throw on a little bolero/sweater/jacket/whatever for the reception.
Have you tried your dress on with the veil, jewelry, shoes, and everything that you will wear at your wedding to see what the entire look is like? I know some of the little details really help to complete the bridal look and can change the way you think about a dress.

I think you look beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know everyone is doing it, but I really think you would look great with a thin jeweled sash at the waist so the top had some embellishment too. Or a nice pin on the lower right of the waist where the ruching kind of joins?
And I think a little capelet or cap sleeves would be even MORE gorgeous!!! <3 it!

Thank you sooooooo much for the replies. I knew my hive would make me feel better.
Someone mentioned the word “unbalanced” in regards to the top and bottom of the dress… I think that word is PERFECT for how I am feeling! Jewlery might be the answer to this… I haven’t bought any yet because I don’t know what to buy (any suggestions????). Something “blingy”?
As far as the bolero goes, it’s not that I want to cover my arms or anything- I’m not self conscious about them- but now that someone mentioned the word balanced, I think what I was thinking is that cap sleeves would make the top and bottom maybe flow more evenly? I still might look into them when I go in for my dress fitting in a month…. it would be a huge surprise to Fiance and everyone, since I’m going to the fitting alone!
Again, thank you so much for all your reassurance!!! it really helped me start to believe in my dress again. If you have any more suggestions (jewlery or otherwise), I’d love to hear them!

Honestly I think it is gorgeous as is. You look beautiful in it. BUT you need to be comfortable in the dress the day of. Maybe look into a cap sleeve or a lace bolero if that would make you more comfy.

You look BEAUTIFUL! I totally know what you mean about your feelings – I have a complex about my shoulders and can’t stop letting it affect my image of myself. But don’t you worry, you look fabulous. Look into some boleros, see if you can find one that you like to complement this dress, but honestly, you don’t need it!

I think you look beautiful!
If you want an easy fix without altering the dress, get a matching wrap, put it around your shoulders, then pin the back with a brooch. Sort of makes a shrug that you can take off.
