@Cuzgirl72:  That depends on what you mean.  If it is to get their hair done for the wedding,  you should be paying for it anyway if you want it a particular way and doesn’t count as a gift.  If you are giving them a trip to the salon in the form of a gift certificate or going with her (not related to wedding), it sounds like a nice gift.

I’ve been a bridesmaid 4 times.  Gifts have included a manicure, hair done at salon, and jewelry (2 times, not fancy or expensive, to wear at wedding).  They were not personalized gifts, but it helped with my expenses for each wedding.  I was thankful they covered those items for me.  Your gifts are up to you and your relationship with your girls.  Are they planning on having their hair done and at the same salon as you?  I have turned down this gift once because I wasn’t having my hair done at the same salon (I was an out of town guest and schedule didn’t work for me).  The other side to this is do you want your girls to have something they can use/keep long term?  Neutral jewelry is always safe (I can’t wear the ones I got since they were specific colors to match the dresses), frames, or you could personalize for each of them.  Just some thoughts.

If the hair is for your wedding, it doesn’t count as a gift (because you’re requiring them to have their hair a particular way). If you’re giving them like a spa gift certificate, that’s awesome.

I think that paying for them is definitely a gift! Most girls aren’t going to want to be the only bridesmaid who didn’t get their hair done.  Even if you offer to split it with them, as well as a little gift?  I offered to pay for my one and only bridesmaids hair, and she turned me down saying she would rather pay for it and save me the money.  It’s all up to you!
