My husband recently had my diamond reset. I went with him, and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted but ended up settling on the Tacori Petite Crescent HT2545PR8 (http://www.tacori.com/engagement/ht254525pr8.html) as it was classic with lots of bling. However, I am now wishing I got the Tacori CrissCross 2578 but with my pricess stone (http://www.tacori.com/engagement/2578rd6512.html). In the store, the petite cresent was beautiful, but out of the bright lights it just doesn’t have any interest to it.
The exchange policy for the store was only 7 days, and I didn’t have the guts to speak up til now (About 30 days later), although I know my husband will be upset. What should I do? Should I keep my mouth shut and just be happy? Should I try and see if they will budge on return date? Which one do you guys like? Help put me at ease.

I think your setting is much better for a princess cut stone. The sharp edges wouldn’t look right in the other setting. Also, yours is much more crisp while the other seems to have a lot going on. I think you made the right choice!

Girl, as somone who is right in the middle of possibly getting a new setting (and we are now married), my vote is see if you can get a different one. I’m just one person, but for me, in my every day life, THIS was important to me. You will find mixed reviews on here about this…some people become very catty, so just watch out. You spoke up for a reason, so just remember that…even if it was 30 days later.
I say your marriage is what you make of it and the e-ring was just the start. 🙂 PS – I voted to for the second one. xo

I think I’m confused with the poll. Is the top one yours? Because I think it’s gorgeous!

I really love yours! It’s classy! I don’t care for the bottom one it’s got way too much metal for my taste

Wow! Both gorgeous rings. If it’s really playing on your mind, it won’t hurt to ask. The worst you will get is a “no”.
Consider what wedding band you will wear with either ring. The one you have will be easier to have a wedding band to match it, if that is what you are wanting.

@umd_chick: I actually like yours better.. It’s classic. And I dont think the criss cross would look good with the princess.

If you only had 7 days to exchange it, then what good will it do to bring it up now? I’m guesing the jeweler will not let you exchange it, and your Darling Husband will be mad you didn’t bring it up sooner.
FWIW I prefer the first setting more.
Edited to add – I have seen both settings and I don’t think the criss cross one has a lot of sparkle because the diamonds are so tiny. As I said, I like the first one better but if you REALLY don’t like it, say something, but don’t be surprised if your husband gets upset.

@umd_chick: Can you clearly label those pictures? I can’t tell what’s what.

@ceebree: I’m sorry for the confusion. The top picture is the petite crescent (my current ring), the bottom is the crisscross ring I am wishing I got. I can’t seem to edit the original post.

@umd_chick: your ring is beautiful! More my style than the second one. And don’t worry, the grass is always greener, no matter what we get we always want the other. So just shrug it off, the feeling will pass 🙂

I like the first one WAY more!

the top ring is so gorgeous!! can you maybe get a twisty wedding band to get an element of the other setting you like?

@umd_chick: have you tried on the 2578? I suggest you try it on and get a feel for it before you regret your desicion:)
