I am uber-picky. Now, this is a good thing sometimes, because I find the best deals for the best value and know what I want.
Except when it comes to weddings.
I want a dress that is modest, has quarter-length lace sleeves (or short sleeves).
I want a venue that seats up to 150 guests, and is in a pretty location that is handicap accesible and outdoors, with reception area on site.
I want neutral colors (ivory, gray, white, black, cream, etc) with tiny accents of baby pink and lavender.
Except I can’t settle on any one specific thing. AHHH. It’s frustrating, LOL. At least I’ve found the honeymoon location and house and am making the deposit Friday! One thing down…unfortunately, it doesn’t really have to do with the wedding itself. I’m a mess.
Anyone else struggling to plan?? LOL.

I actually started with the venue! I found that if I could invision myself getting married somewhere the other details were easier to pick! Initially I wasn’t going to get married in a Church, therefore my dress visions were flowy, romantic and non traditional! Then my fiance and I decided to marry in a church so my ideal of my dress changed!
Here are my tips! Start with a discussion with your fiance! Where do you want to get married? Do you want destination or somewhere close to one or both of your families? You want an outdoorsy wedding, is that a winery, a beach, a garden or even a castle?
Once you have disucssed this and know roughly what you want, turn to google and start searching. Do a short list of ALL possible venues and then send emails/make calls to ensure they are within budget. Cross any off that are outside what you want to pay, and then book to visit these places!
Finding and finalising the venue will definitiely help you decide what sort of dress you want! I know its stressful but you have time up your sleeve for the moment and with some help and some advice you will get there!
