- Wedding: March 2010
So I’m really having trouble with the theme/color combinations for our wedding. My FI and I are very romantic people. He is my knight in shining armor and I’m his princess. We both love the knight’s principal of chivalry and literature. We both love to read. As a result of all of this my FI really wants to focus on the knight and princess idea for our wedding (though he doesn’t want it costumey). We are having the GM wear swords that my FI has specifially picked out and engraved with a certian name meaning something during the ceremony. And we have thought of having a knight, princess, and dragon on the cake as the cake topper.
However, the more that I think about the more that I don’t really know that I want that to be the only thing we revolve around. I’ve always loved the romantic lace look and I’m a pretty colorful and unique individual. When I’ve thought of my drean dress It is something romanticly lace from maybe the 1950s like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/50574798/1950s-vintage-ethereal-ivory-white. And I love the idea of having the men look like the men from the show Mad Men or some whimsical suits.
But I don’t think any of these things will tie together. I love love the idea of having orange and red/hot pink together or a simple romantic deep blue and gold/silver.
I know I’m asking a lot of questions but I’m so confused and not really sure where to go from here. I could make an inspiration board but like I said, I don’t think that everything would to go together. So if anyone has any suggestions I welcome them because I feel like I am getting nowhere
