You can check out http://www.gohawaii.com/ and click on “choose an island” to read/watch about what each island offers. We chose Kauai because we already live in a big city and wanted to slow things down a bit for our wedding/honeymoon. It’s very romantic and has breathtaking views. However, if you want night life and city lights Maui or Oahu might be for you. Good luck!

We’re also using a timeshare to go to Hawaii.  We chose Oahu ^_^ — it seems to have the best of both worlds based on my research.  You get the city but if you drive out a little bit you get less crowded beaches.  I’ve never been before but I did make a thread before:  http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/oahu-traveling-tips

People posted some diff things to do and places to eat.  They also posted pics =)

I went to Oahu for my first time there. I did not want to go home and I would love to go back

I’d say Maui. Oahu is really touristy, but still has beautiful beaches. Kauai is really beautiful but very relaxed. Big Island is amazing because of the volcano. Yeah… I’d either say Big Island or Maui.
