We visited Maui and Kauai on our honeymoon. You will love it! Not sure where you are staying but we were on the north side of the island in Kauai near Princeville.  We took surf lessons at Hanalei beach offered by the quicksilver shop near there.  That was alot of fun. We also did a snorkeling boat trip which was an excellent way to see the amazing coastline. There seemed to be alot of great hiking trails but we’re too lazy to do those :/  if you are up in the north side we frequented this restaurant called Postcards Cafe that was quaint, felt local and had great food.  it’s easy to get some good info Nd suggestions from concierge once you’re there. Enjoy!!

@jlynn14:  Definately check out the Napali Coast it’s beautiful! We did a sunset dinner cruise there which was great. The also have snorkling cruises, helicopter rides and hiking trips that go to the Napali Coast. Also, if you are near Poipu go to the Beach House for dinner or lunch.

Gaylord’s at Kilohana Plantation had really good food. Mark’s Place in the industrial district was good for lunch – inexpensive compared to many options, tasty, and just really unique compared to the touristy places all over.

We took a helicopter tour that went all over the entire island, and that was really fun. We also did snorkeling and saw a ton of dolphins. The island is small enough so that you can go basically all over it in your stay, so I’d look up things to do, cluster them by location, and make a schedule.
