Our videographer offers the option to have our video recorded in HD for an extra fee. Do any of you know if this upgrade is worthwhile?

I had a friend do this and she said it wasn't worth the extra cost. Some people may notice a difference but she didn't. I remember her saying that unless you have a nice TV, with all of the HD wiring, its kinda useless. We had the option to do it and we do have all the fixin's but we still didn't opt to do it.
