You know what's spooky about the twist? I loooved it and when I showed it to my mother, she went and got her engagement ring (she can't wear it due to some health issues) and HERS had the same kind of twist. I had no idea! She picked the same style setting, with a marquis diamond, over 30 years ago. It's so weird!

Aww thanks everyone! I just got to sit down and read your posts after a day of showing off to everyone at work, then going over to see FH's parents and celebrate a bit with them, and this just capped off a terrific day. You gave me the warm fuzzies with all your good thoughts. This is why I love Weddingbee!

It happened! It's finally real.
He came over tonight and I could tell he was really fired up about something. I was in the back yard playing with my dog when he came over, and as I hugged him hello I felt something in his coat... the ring box!!
We came inside, and we were just hanging out, watching tv in my bedroom for a while. I've been having some headaches and neck problems, so he was being a good boyfriend - giving me a neck rub. All of a sudden, he says - I'll be right back, and goes out to the living room (I live with my parents) and I hear him talking with them, for a while. So yeah, I was thinking - OH SNAP THIS IS IT! He's asking their blessing, IN THE NEXT ROOM!
Sure enough, he came back in and got on one knee with the ring. I kinda flipped out and started hugging him and crying on him before he could even say anything, LOL. He got the ring today and was going to try and plan something, but he was so excited he couldn't wait. So after 4 years of dating, we're engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!
