Take me off the list please - today was our five-year anniversary, and Mr. Maeby suprised me at the Georgia Aquarium with a magical proposal in front of the beluga whale enclosure.

Oops. I didn't mean for that to end. Well, I guess that was the gist of it! I definitely suspected the day because it was very important to both of us, and we're not very good at keeping things from one another, so I knew he had the ring and it would happen soon. Even with my suspicions he managed to catch me completely by surprise and blow me away.

You ladies have been so supportive - even though I never post much, just coming here and knowing that everyone goes through such similar circumstances and the feelings I had were so very normal was all the solace I needed to keep waiting.

Yeah, sorry, it's a micropave setting, and it looks a bit different since it's an oval cut diamond, but it actually only sticks out a little bit. I think it just depends on where you get it. ^_^

The whales kept swimming in circles by the glass, so they were either hungry or cheering us on, we didn't know which. I've been a huge whale lover since I was a kid, so it was pretty perfect.

Here's a picture of it on my finger! It's no trick of the flash - I'm actually that pale. ^_^

Congrats.  I love the ring also.  It looks very elegant, like a ton of labor went into it.
