I like the look of the 3 carat emerald with the 2.6mm setting. Emeralds are a beautiful choice, by the way!

I love emeralds! I have always wanted one but because I am just such a klutz I was afraid I would break it because they can scratch and break. I know that alot of Bees have emeralds and love them.

Good luck and post pics when you make up your mind.

The darker colour with the dainty band would be perfection! Both are beautiful options though. Congratulations!

Ugh, I’m going to chime in; please forgive my bias towards wider bands, but I’ve mulled this over for the past 30 mins at least lol and, still, I lean towards the wider band.

The funny thing is, I like the slender bands without stones in them, aka, the 1.8mm or 2mm plain bands with the center stones.  Essentially, what I am saying is, for me, if you’re going to ‘channel’ stones into the band then go the wider channel.

These sites are great for getting others’ perspectives as sometimes the personal bias clouds the questions of others.  Either way, emeralds are gorgeous.  Green, in general, is a preferred color of mine.  Reminds me of nature.  Love your choice of center stone!

The emerald on the left looks like it will sparkle a bit more. I like the slimmer setting on the right; it won’t dwarf the center stone and is very elegant.

I like the 2.25 (it looks brighter) in the 2.6 mm (I prefer thinner bands). Either way your ring is going to be GORGEOUS!!

Be careful with emeralds. Emeralds are often fracture filled which does not make them stronger. Emeralds are also very brittle so they arent the best for everyday wear. Lab emeralds typically hold up better due to the lack of inclusions. This is your ring though and your options are both beautiful.

The ring on the right is stunning.  It’s hard to tell which emerald, but I would go with the one you like the best – they’re both gorgeous.  My big issue with emeralds is that i find they often look plastcy or artificial.  I would want one that’s really clear.  I would probably try and bezel set it to protect it, although that may not look as nice…

@MsGinkgo:  Clear emeralds are like rubies some of the highest priced gems in the world. I have seen eye clean emeralds and they are amazing but anything the size she is looking at is 10s of thousands.
