Hello bees!

Last night was the most amazing night of my life! My boyfriend proposed!

It was our 5-year anniversary and to celebrate, I booked us into a beautiful restaurant overlooking the harbour and we had an absolutely amazing meal but nothing on the dessert menu appealed to me, so after dinner we headed over to Circular Quay and got a lovely icecream instead and walked along the foreshore to the Opera House.

Then it was time to head home and our ferry was leaving soon so we headed back to the wharf and jumped on and enjoyed the view of the harbour bridge on the way home. We then walked up through a harbour walk near our home where i have a "favourite chair" that i like to stop and stretch at when i go for a run, and stop and enjoy the view when we go for a walk together. He wasnt sure which one it was and so asked me "this is your favourite chair isnt it" and i said, of course - look at the beautiful view from here!

Then he said "there is something i have been wanting to ask you for a while" and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!! It had been torrential rain earlier in the night so we had our umbrella's in our hands and I leaned on mine a little too heavily and snapped the handle clean off!

He proposed with his Nan's ring, which was actually his great grandmothers ring which is so beautiful.

Then we made a few phone calls to spread the happy news!!!

That was last night and we are still on Cloud 9!!!

Super excited still and I have never drunk so much champagne in one weekend - not impressed with being at work on a Monday morning!!!

I will have to do some ring photos when i get it resized (i have a bunch of tissue and sticky tape (cellotape?) acting as a ring guard at the moment to hold it on!

Off to the jeweller tomorrow for a resize!

Had to drop my ring off today at the jeweller for a valuation, but now i honestly feel naked!
