I have that stamp too! I am using it for my BM cards as well! The funny thing is I bought that stamp way before I was engaged or even thinking about wedding stuff!
I looked at them today and they really are cute! But the diy postcards I've created? EVEN more awesome.
I am a happy chickiepoo! :)
The photos will go up in a short while. I'm in the process Amanda of getting a little somethin' somethin' sparkly on my left hand...
It will all go up in a very short while. I'll put the bridesmaid proposal cards along with their gift I'm sending them up immediately after the ring arrives. The other cards will have to wait a bit b/c we've got to start working on venues soon!
This is gettin' fun!
Of course I'll show them! But can't jinx myself and do all that before the ring is on my hand!
Woo hoo I'm having a blast right now!!!!!
Oh and I do sometimes listen to the BB's and have this song on my itunes when I do stuff here online and work on designing things!
Have I got some amazing stuff up my sleeve! I had a chat w/Crebre today and I think (you do right?) like my ideas about the rehersal and reception idea? he he..I'm keeping all that under wraps but for much later though!
haha I knew you were still waiting...just wasn't sure if you were gonna post photos before or after.
Can't wait to see it all!!
Awww I can't wait to see them! That stamp is fantastic!
The girl is crafty like ice is cold!! Hehe. Thanks for the flashback!
Can't wait to see how this turns out though- super cute stamp!
Oh! I'm so glad I'm not the only one! She's crafty and she's just my type:-) I thought i was just old! I remember when that video got banned from MTV. I worked at a club and we would just wait til the mgr left and play it anyway.
I like the postcards!
OOOOOOHHHH Belle this post just MADE MY DAY!!
i just spent a lovely $75 at Hobby Lobby and bought a gorgeous rubber stamp of a bird, another one with two birds "kissing" and then some clear stamps in wedding theme (they just happen to also have love birds as well as cake, bells, quotes including "true love" the theme line of my wedding). I also got opaque lavender and metalic lilac embossing powder! I plan to use them for my escort cards display. I also bought a Matha edge punch (dotty lace) since I am not as crafty as some ;)
Did you use an embossing heat tool? I use the one by paper studio
I can't wait to see you finished products...I am planning mine out right now :)
(while looking at hobby lobbys great sales! I may go back later in the week...I didn't even go to the Christmas section and wrapping paper and bows are 50% off! hehe)
Embossing is one of my rainy day things to do, although when I did this it wasn't raining. I'm not going to unveil a darn thing until after the E lands! Woo hoo. And I have some "crafty" ideas on how to break the e news to you bees when it happens. I've got a few working ideas, but I hope to catch everybody 100000% off guard! That's the plan anyhow.
And yes, the BB's are from my craazy GenX life. It's an old song, but then again..I hit the big 4-0 in spring this year.
I think still my fave BB song is a tie b/w "Brass Monkey" and "Fight For Your Right to Party". Scary part is I could still sing along with the lyrics.
@Sulli, those stamps sound so perfect! I love birds. Ive got one at home in fact! A macaw. I haven't tried the clear stamps yet. How do you like them? I am having btw, a stamp of our logo for the wedding created so I can emboss and go wacky with my heating tool too! I love to use all different options. I got my heat tool from Paper Source. I'm ready to head there soon again as I need to begin Christmas card making! Just doing our photos and have the die cut cards & slip in the pic and on the back write a hand written note and do some cute holiday embossing I think???
@Belle I really like the clear stamps! they work just as well as the wood blocked rubber stamps but there is a bit more upkeep.
I have a plastic container which I use to keep all of my clear stamps. I wash each of them right after I use them and then let them dry before putting them back on the plastic sheets they come on, then I store them flat (one sheet on top of the other) in a plastic container.
I have two different clear stamp blocks that I can put the different clear stamps I have on depending on the size. I still LOVE the look and beauty of the wood stamp but I do like the variety avaliable (and price) of the clear stamps.
...
I'm excited for your suprise when you get that rock!! eeee :) hehe

I'm crafty..I'm just his type (anybody 'member this Beastie Boys song?)
Anyhow..tonight I got in tune with my inner design diva and rocked da house! T watched the football game and I actually blew off totally my housework.
I created 2 things.
One is a bridesmaid proposal card using scalloped edge cardstock and a gorgeous stamp I purchased a while back. I embossed it in gold on the pink cardstock and it's gorgeous! Here's the stamp:
The other project I stole from Martha. I designed a somewhat vintage looking postcard which will serve both as an engagement announcement and save the date! I'll finalize and tweak the touches when we decide when and exactly where but it will be ready to go with little effort. I'm going to print them off on shimmer cardstock and have them professionally cut to size. They look goooood!
This d.i.y. thing could really make a girl have one messy house!
