Be comfortable. Your pictures will look like … yourselves. That’s a good thing. Wink

My husband is 1 foot taller then me, and I wore cowboy boots with a very small heel at my wedding.

I actually, love how much taller he is then me, and think tall guys with short girls always looks cute in pics. 🙂

I’m a solid foot shorter than my FI (5’2, 6’2). I’m going to wear heels with a 4 inch heel and 1 inch platform (feels like 3 inches) for the ceremony and pics. Then I’m changing into 5 inch platform shoes as a joke for our intro/first dance. Then I’m changing into my Rainbow flip flips or some other super comfortable shoe for the rest of the reception.

My dad is 6’4″ and my mom is 4’11”.  Even in heels, there’s over a foot height difference, and they look adorable together!  Yes, I know I’m biased, but it’s still true.  If you’re in pain and miserable, that’ll show in the pics.  Wear a pretty pair of flats and get a couple pics of you standing on tiptoe kissing him – those always look so cute!

Wear flats.
FI is a foot taller than me and I’d never try to make up our height difference in heels. You don’t want to be uncomfortable on your big day!

@sheepandbear:  haha thanks. The “joke shoes” don’t really have much use, but maybe I can use them for a future Halloween.

I will be wearing 4 inch heels and then when I am sitting, the shoes are coming off! We are having no dancing at our wedding though.

My FI is 10-11 inches taller than me and I haven’t even considered wearing heels since I never, ever wear them (and I will probably eat it if I were to wear them!) He will probably have higher shoes than me since his dress shoes have a bit of lift. I never even thought about how it would look ha. I guess I’m used to the way we look normally so it didn’t occur to me to change that for the wedding!

I say be comfortabke and enjoy.  If youre in pain you’ll never have fun during the day.

You can always wear heels for the ceremony and/or posed pictures with the bridal party and then change into flats afterward. That way you can have two gorgeous pair of shoes and don’t have to have sore feet.

Flats are fine! I’m 5’7 and mr. Lk is 6’4. Here’s a photo from our day-after shoot for some height comparison

@sheepandbear:  you are representing your true self, what is bad about that?
