Some of you will know from my previous posts that my SO is deployed at the moment. We will be back together in 2 weeks and I am so excited I could explode.
Anyway we were chatting on the phone last night and the whole engagement/rings thing came up and he asks:
“So… do I have to buy you 2 rings? Like a band one as well?”
And I said: “No sweetie, we go and buy the bands together. You do that closer to the actual wedding.”
And he says: “Oh yeah… that makes sense. Cool!”
Hahaha. Such an adorable dope. Are any of your SO’s adoraby clueless about wedding stuff?? 🙂

Clueless and totally adorable. 🙂 I had to explain to Mr. PB what the groomsmen and best man are supposed to do. And what ceremony readings are, among other things – like the trendy things I’ve accepted as standard from spending too much time on wedding sites (bunting, mason jars, etc). He knows he’s in for a lot of learning once this wedding train leaves the station!

Oh! I just wrote a really similar post and hadn’t seen this one. I think there’s a lot of cluelessness out there when it comes to ring customs. I can barely keep up, so it’s no surprise a less wedding-obsessed partner of mine can’t.
Mind you, your SO isn’t technically wrong to ask this question about your preference. There are a lot of sets you can buy where you get the engagement and wedding ring together – they match and they fit together really well. So some people buy wedding bands at the same time as the engagement ring, whilst others just buy an engagement ring and choose a band that compliments it later.
