BF and I moved in together 4 months ago, and things have been amazing 🙂
A few months ago I sent him an email with links to rings I like, for inspiration when the times comes, and I then dropped the subject. Now it’s been more than 2 months since I mentioned anything engagement or wedding related. And honestly, this has been such a busy autumn that I haven’t had too much time to think about those things either. Of course, December is not an easy waiting month. My birthday is in two weeks, then there is Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Perfect occasions for proposing, right?
Now, I hadn’t been expecting a proposal this Christmas, until a couple of incidents made me think otherwise. I might be overthinking this, but here we go:
Last week, BF said: “I sent you an email with inspiration for things to get me for Christmas, since you’ve been dropping hints to me”. Now the thing is that I have hardly given BF any hints at all as to what to get me for Christmas. The only thing I said was that it would be nice to have some of the pictures of us framed so we can hang them on the wall. The only real “hinting” I can think of that I’ve done lately is the email with the links I sent him three months ago! Perhaps that’s what he was referring to?
I also found something interesting in our recycling bin; a Christmas catelogue from a jewellery shop, with a section on engagement rings. And not just any jewellery shop; most of the rings in the email I sent to BF three monthgs are sold in this shop. So there are two possibilities here; either BF read my email and visited the shop and picked up the catalogue, or the shop sent out the catalogue as mail for advertising purposes… though this seems a bit strange because I have never receaved any such advertising from this shop before.
Am I overreacting to this or does this seem suspicious??
