Soooo it finally happened! And though I so knew it was coming, he still got me real good! They all did!
So here's our story:
We had been talkin about marriage since about Sep or so, first as a thought and then gradually more realistically so it wasn't entirely unexpected.. but Saturday started off being the worst day of my life! I ended up in hospital Sat mornin (the day before our 6 mnth anniversary) with gastro, throwin up and having diarrhea, but luckily i got discharged hours after and felt pretty ok by evening. So he picked me up to go to this small lime, but we were kinna early so he asked if i wanna go Mt St Benedict and just chill (it's this beautiful peaceful church site on top a very steep mountain and the view and sunset are amazing!) so i was like yeh cool... and as soon as i reach i see a table covered with tablecloth and roses and wine and a candle set up, and a couple was kinna close to it right, so i figured it was theirs and i tell him "gosh, check these ppl come to the church site with all their romantic wine and stuff, why they can't behave" and try to walk away lol and he pulls me towards it telling us its ours, so at this point i feel like a total idiot and start to giggle cuz i kno wats about to happen.. he gives a real long speech and proposes there... I was so emo and happy and smiley that i hugged him until he reminded me that he needs to put the ring on haha, so he opened the box and there it was, BEAUTIFUL, ELEGANT, EXQUISITE yet SIMPLE just as I would have chosen for myself.. and oh soooo SPARKLY!! Then shortly after we go to his house so his parents can congratulate us, and when i get to his house, my mom was there! He flew her in for the surprise so yeh at that point i started to cry... apparently he wrote her a 7 page letter weeks before asking for her permission to marry me! so after that second surprise and some tears we went for dinner and yup, i'm engaged! woop woop!
